I met Emmett during his residence in the District of Columbia (1976-1984). He was a wonderful friend and encouraged me to apply to law school . I still have the Law School Dictionary with his signature inside the book, denoting best of luck to me during my matriculation. I am an attorney today, because of his mentorship. My condolences to his family and friends during bereavement.
