In Response to: Sizing Up Issues
On the topic of microaggressions, Mike Walter ’81 quoted a comment from Adlai Stevenson II ’22 (Inbox, March 2): “You can tell the size of a man by the size of the thing that makes him mad.” I would like to propose what I consider to be a better saying: “You can tell the size of a person by the person’s empathy with the pain of others.”
