Inbox Thank You!

Thank you, President Eisgruber, for your forceful advocacy of free speech to incoming freshmen.  Although I lean politically more left than center, I’ve heard from many (kind) conservatives that they risk ostracism and thus suppress themselves in fear of today’s cancel culture. Tragically, more and more Americans, in a genuinely generous effort to protect some people and propagate safety and goodness, unconsciously oppressing and inflicting pain on others. 

I can think of no better place than Princeton to highlight that contradiction and spearhead a better path that nourishes — through listening and introspection — young minds and hearts.
