In re “PAW Goes to the Movies – The Post” (posted online Jan. 18): This interview is disappointingly shallow but not unexpectedly; I suspect it is unvetted, given the station of its participants. The universe of this movie and any probative review cannot avoid the larger issue of fitting and proper behavior of personnel serving at the policy level, most under oath, and how and when breaches of statutes and regulations assented to by such persons need be enforced or excused while at the same time maintaining such institution’s credibility and the rule of law. Subsequent agreement with outcomes does not and cannot answer this question of institutional-authority optimization and effectiveness.
This issue again starkly presents itself to the American body politic. May more be expected from PU’s cognizant faculty and PAW?
