In Response to: The Texan in Washington

Having read the recent biography of Mr. Baker, I was eager to read the interview. It is disappointing that two of his most interesting (and frightening) statements were not highlighted.

They are: “Members of the press are no longer objective reporters of the facts; they’re players,” and “The other big problem I think we face is a ticking fiscal debt bomb. . . . I think we’re going to inflate our way out of the debt problem.”
