After reading this article, I am left with the impression that nobody with any scruples would want to be a politician. It seems that the supposed friend was in trouble and somehow got the FBI to go after Mr. Sittenfeld instead. The whole game of politics has become so corrupt that any reasonable person should wonder if the specter of doing something for the “common good” is worth the price one has to pay to be nominated or elected. I hate to be so skeptical but with what our choice is in November, one can legitimately wonder if there is any chance of being able to follow Princeton’s motto in the modern political sphere.
