In Response to: Road Trip: A Tiger Guide

“Let’s Hit the Road!” was fun to read. It was entirely acceptable to end the trip at St. Louis, the home of many alumni. Ending the story with views from the Arch to points west was effective.

The marginal notes detailing Princeton-inspired sites in the different states were enlightening. I recall a visit to the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where the “Howard Stepp” was prominent at its entrance complete with an orange and black Princeton shield.

Unfortunately, I could no longer see the “Howard Stepp” on the virtual tour at the Swimming Hall of Fame website. They have clearly expanded with new buildings since my visit, so the decoration in honor of a distinguished swimmer and Princetonian (’39) may not still be there.
