Remembering Princeton in the 1970s

I was in the Class of 1976. I was a liberal arts student studying philosophy and religion. I could not afford the tuition so I worked on campus cooking in the kitchens, mopping floors in the dining areas. I played hockey for Princeton as a defenseman and set a record for assists by a defenseman. I remain very grateful for the opportunity to attend the University. In particular I was able to attend a lecture by Walter Benjamin, one of many academic refugees teaching at the University. It was a thrilling time to attend this great university.
