The Class of 1982 mourns the loss of Doug, who died Jan. 16, 2021, of complications from Huntington’s chorea.

Classmates remembered Doug at our 40th reunion as a good man, fun-loving, and devoted to family, friends, and community. He came to Princeton from Berwyn, Pa. He majored in economics, was a member of Cottage Club, played football for two years, and devoted time off-campus to a local chapter of Big Brothers of America.

After college Doug lived in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, earning an MBA at the Wharton School of Business. He also played softball with the Princeton Club of Philadelphia in those years. After graduate school he worked in real-estate development and later moved to New York City.

Doug is survived by his daughter, Sarah; and three siblings. The closing words of Doug’s remembrance at the 40th reunion were “We miss you, Doug. Goodbye old friend.”
