(University of Chicago Press) A National Historic Landmark, Beth Sholom was one of Wright’s last completed projects, his only synagogue, and one of his greatest masterpieces. This book provides the first in-depth look at the synagogue’s conception and realization in relation to Wright’s other religious architecture. It depicts Wright’s exploration of forms and techniques in creating architecture for worshipping communities and his engagement with his clients. It also includes over 300 illustrations. Siry is a professor of art history and American studies at Wesleyan University.
