Your write-up on the first coeducational Class of 1973 was fair and balanced. My sister, Charmaine (André) Warmenhoven, was in that class. She called me in the spring of 1969 and asked my opinion as to whether she should go to Vassar or Princeton. I told her that Princeton had great educational opportunities and a great community spirit, and that she could be a trailblazer.

She took my advice, became a psychology major, and eventually married another Princetonian, Dan Warmenhoven ’72, an engineer. Fifty years later, they are still married. Personal choices and destiny are always intertwined.
