Donald R. Conner ’53

Don was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and came to Princeton after attending Shady Side Academy. He joined Charter Club and majored in history, writing his thesis on William Clark of the Lewis and Clark expedition.

After graduation, Don was drafted and spent the next two years in El Paso, Texas. Returning to civilian life, he worked briefly for a small electronics firm and then for 20 years for Penn Mutual Life Insurance, living for many years in Lawrenceville, N.J. He retired after serving for 37 years with AT&T.

Don is survived by three children, three stepdaughters, 13 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
