Robert F. Lee ’62

Bob, a lifetime resident of Bermuda, died Dec. 13, 2025.

He came to Princeton from Ridley College, Ontario. At Princeton, Bob majored in English. Married after his sophomore year, he did not graduate with our class. Instead, he returned to Bermuda, and after briefly working in banking, started his own business. In 1983, he returned to Princeton as a senior. He lived in town for nine months, attended lectures, studied in Firestone, and graduated in May 1984, just two weeks before his daughter Elizabeth finished her undergraduate degree at the University of Edinburgh.

For more than 30 years, Bob owned and ran Pegasus Antique Maps and Prints. He kept physically active his entire life, from ice hockey in high school and his first years at Princeton to rugby, tennis, and skiing in later years. He began rowing in his late 70s.

He and his second wife, Barbara, lived in an 18th century house in Bermuda, with a second home in South Carolina. They traveled widely both as a couple and with their children.

Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara; his four children, Elizabeth, Sean, Timothy, and Christopher; and seven grandchildren.
