Robert Lipkin, who held the title of distinguished professor of law at Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Del., died Feb. 18, 2010, after a long illness. He was 66.
Lipkin graduated from Brooklyn College in 1965 and received a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Princeton in 1971 and 1974, respectively. He taught at Brooklyn College, Cooper Union, the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, and Northwestern.
In 1984, he earned a law degree from the UCLA Law School, and PAW reported in its March 26, 1986, graduate class notes that Lipkin then clerked for a U.S. Court of Appeals before he began teaching at Widener.

Author of Constitutional Revolutions, Lipkin wrote many scholarly articles on constitutional law and theory, jurisprudence, political philosophy, and ethical philosophy.
Lipkin is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and daughter Sarah.
