Race After Technology

 In Race After Technology (Polity), African American studies professor Benjamin introduces the “New Jim Code”: subtle technologies which enforce or enhance racial inequality. One common thread among the many examples is historic and discriminatory data being used to back algorithms that predict undesirable behavior.
