Field hockey’s CLARA ROTH ’21 scored in five consecutive games — all Princeton wins, including a 5–4 victory at No. 2-ranked Duke Oct. 6. After trailing the Blue Devils 4–1 late in the second quarter, the Tigers mounted a steady comeback, capped by Roth’s game-tying goal in the final minute. Teammate Hannah Davey ’22 scored Princeton’s game-winner in overtime.

DANNY HAMPTON ’20 scored or assisted on goals in three consecutive games for the men’s soccer team, helping Princeton win twice and secure a tie against Ivy League rival Brown. In the Brown game Oct. 12, Hampton’s free-kick goal evened the score at 1–1 in the 87th minute. Three days later, he found the net in a 3–0 win over Lehigh. And against Columbia Oct. 19, Hampton drove a free kick toward the left side of the goal, where Richard Wolf ’21 headed it in for the opening score in a 2–1 win.

JACOB BIRMELIN ’21 caught 12 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns in Princeton football’s 65–22 win at Brown Oct. 19. Birmelin also fielded three punts, including a 35-yard return that set up a touchdown drive late in the second quarter. The Tigers scored 51 points in the opening half.
