The Rev. GREGORY BOYLE, founder of Homeboy Industries, the world’s largest gang intervention and rehabilitation program.
LONNIE BUNCH III, founding director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, who played a leading role in developing the museum’s mission and collections.
ROBERT GEDDES, Princeton professor emeritus and first dean of the School of Architecture, who deepened the school’s connections with the humanities and social sciences.
R. BARBARA GITENSTEIN, the first female president of The College of New Jersey and a scholar of American and Jewish literature.
Librarian of Congress CARLA DIANE HAYDEN, the first woman and first African American to lead the institution; she has been called a “librarian freedom fighter” who champions open access.
