Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome “Jay” Powell ’75 will deliver the Baccalaureate address for Princeton’s Class of 2025 in May. In a University announcement, President Christopher Eisgruber ’83 praised Powell’s leadership of the central bank as “an outstanding example of the virtues of public service.” Powell has been chair of the Fed’s Board of Governors since 2018.
In late November, Princeton University purchased a 158,000-square-foot office building in West Windsor for $33.4 million, according to Mercer County property records. The University’s Office of Advancement and Office of Human Resources are already tenants of the four-story building, 100 Overlook Center, situated on 21 acres near the intersection of Alexander Road and Route 1. JLL Capital Markets, which represented the seller, Cali Overlook, said in a news release that the property was initially intended to house two buildings and could be a site for future development.
