With wins over Harvard and Yale Jan. 30–31 and Columbia Feb. 7, WOMEN’S SWIMMING posted a perfect 7–0 record in the Ivy League. MEN’S SWIMMING (6–0 Ivy) also neared a season sweep, recording wins over Harvard and Yale Jan. 31–Feb. 1.

Robin Harris, senior counsel at the Indianapolis law firm Ice Miller, will become executive director of the IVY LEAGUE in July, the league announced Feb. 11, replacing Jeff Orleans, who is retiring after 25 years in the job. The league also released plans to hold postseason tournaments in men’s and women’s lacrosse to determine the league’s representative in the NCAA Championships, beginning in 2010.

LORIN MAURER, who worked as a liaison with the friends groups of Prince-ton’s athletic teams, was killed in the crash of a commuter plane near Buffalo, N.Y., Feb. 12. Maurer, 30, was remembered as a caring, enthusiastic colleague who helped to increase gifts supporting athletics at Princeton.
