Carnegie and Wilson

I enjoyed the article about Andrew Carnegie’s contribution to the construction of Lake Carnegie (That Was Then, Dec. 7), but missed Woodrow Wilson 1879’s (apocryphal?) comment: “We asked him for bread, but he gave us water.”
