The Chance to Dance

Yes! The dancing! Modern youth is almost totally deprived of dance opportunities that other generations took for granted. Clubs, school dances, balls, formal dancing, square dances, folk dances, church or community hall dances, family weddings … dances are as rare as an endangered species. I do not blame these kids one bit for sneaking in to dance. And to dance for the sheer pure joy of it, no other motive.

We all love dancing and are supposed to pretend we don’t, to be cool. I’m with these girls: Forget the beer. Give me the music! My favorite feature of Reunions is dancing with your friends late into the night.
