Pretty sure the man in the tie in the photo (page 39, 10/3/18 PAW) is Dr. Bruce Arden, who was chair of EECS for all or most of my years at PU. I think I may have been in one of his classes. His secretary insisted on referring to him as Dr. Arden, not Professor Arden, perhaps because some faculty members did not have doctorates and she (or he) wanted the distinction noted (but that is pure speculation).
