In Response to: What Are The Odds

A lot of people and companies make a lot of money with polling. I wonder whether polling is a good idea in any case. It seems to me that its publication over a long pre-electoral time period could work towards distorting voting, largely be creating fears and hopes in the electorate, one not too stable and informed in any case. And of course it would be more exciting to watch election returns without having had any polling. Give it a thought.
