Excellence in Archival Scholarship

I ordered and read copies of Graham’s book, Books and Daggers, for two reasons. As a semi-retired chemical information specialist, I worked in a research library for 23 years providing information to research clients. Second, my cousin was in the OSS from V-E Day to September 1945, later getting a degree in poli sci and working for the State Department (but probably for the CIA). I also gave a copy to my granddaughter, a poli sci freshman, along with an essay, “Our Cousin the Spook.” The book is excellent, exhibiting excellent scholarship, both by the author, Graham, and the librarian agents. Th misogyny exhibited by Princeton Library staff during Graham's stay at Princeton is horrendous and I hope that Linke’s statement that this no longer occurs is correct. I hope that Princeton students continue to use the library resources, monitor their experiences, and report any misbehavior.
