I was a student in Professor Champlin’s CLA 325: Roman Law in Fall 2006. It was a fascinating and fun class with challenging exams that asked us to think like ancient Roman jurists about complex legal cases. He was a fantastic and generous teacher. I was sorry to learn of his passing.
