In Response to: Journalist Frank Langfitt ’86 is Reporting in Ukraine for NPR
Hidden for the ordinary American reader is the fact that since 2014 America has worked with Ukrainian troops and volunteers to get them better trained and equipped for the expected increase in battle with the invading Russians and their mercenaries. One should certainly be happy about this; it helps to explain why the Ukrainians have been doing relatively well in the current war. Did Trump know of this, did he approve, did he try to curtail it? The public doesn’t know and perhaps it is best that we not know. I am surprised that Trump and his associates have not spilled the beans here for one reason or another.
