I have a recollection (memory is less certain when you’re Irish) that Fred Fox was the first Tiger. His father, so the “story” goes, took a Tiger skin rug from a tenant who was in arrears. Fred, ingenious as he was, donned the rug and marched into Palmer Stadium with the band and “cheered” during a football game. Good memory or Irish enhancement of facts?
