Thanks for your comment. Data from the Dartmouth Atlas of Healthcare suggest that at least one-third of the health care Americans receive causes more harm than benefit. As a geriatrician, I spend much of my time deprescribing unnecessary medications and explaining why aggressive medical care may not be appropriate as we age. I encourage you to question every medication and test your doctor orders.
