I enjoyed your piece on Steve Byrns, but was sorry you did not mention that a book has been published about Steve and the garden. It is called Paradise on the Hudson: The Creation, Loss and Revival of a Great American Garden, published by Timber Press. It was written by Caroline Seebohm p’00 p’03 (me) and the only reason I bring it to your attention is because I am the mother of two Princeton graduates, Sophie Lippincott ’00, and Hugh Lippincott ’03. Their father, Walter Lippincott, was Class of 1960. Walter’s uncle, Billy Lippincott, was dean of students in the 1950s and early 1960s. So the book on Steve’s wonderful work has some Princeton connections!
