I went there as a math major, switched soon into politics, took ConInterp with Walter Murphy and jurisprudence with Ronald Dworkin my junior year. I loved them both, so I decided to go to law school — as did one-seventh of my class. It most certainly was not a “last resort” in my day, so I wonder whether it is today.
