Prisoner of His Generation

What do we have here? An exculpatory tour d'horizon of institutional failure seeking to exhibit Princeton University as least authoritarian during a period of great national discomfort continuing to the present day? A piece of therapy to validate thoughts /behaviors and emotionally comfort and confirm same 55+ years later?

Such pandering and surface skimming ill-serves the maintenance of standards and scholarship while deepening and accelerating the academic decline of a truly liberal education. Like so many, the author is a prisoner of his generation (we have spoken in the past), but absent deep research in the subject area and understanding of the dynamics of counterculture activism and its roots as first manifested on the Berkeley campus of the University of California, the educational value of this article is nugatory.
