I read with interest the article about Mary Solanto ’73 (Alumni Scene, June 6) re ADHD. I was national executive director for 30 years of the Learning Disabilities Association of America, a 50,000-membership organization of professionals and parents headquartered in Pittsburgh, which sponsors an annual international conference. Throughout the five-day conference, a strand dealing with adults with ADHD is presented. Medical doctors and other professional deliver lectures and workshops. I have been retired for 10 years and am pleased to confirm that research is still much needed concerning this lifelong condition.
