I’m in the Class of 1971. In those days, I didn’t know what to call how I felt, but I struggled with depression throughout most of my teens and 20s. Despite sporadic periods of accomplishment, depression crippled me both personally and professionally, until therapy and medication helped turn my life around. I eventually became a licensed mental health counselor, and practiced for decades until retirement.
