I was very disappointed to read in the May 13, 2020, Princeton Alumni Weekly that Princeton (and the Ivy League) have decided not to allow spring sport athletes to come back next year to complete their senior sports seasons.

For student athletes, sports are an integral part of their education. Not to allow them to complete their senior season, through no fault of their own, is unfair. For them, their college careers have not been completed.

Princeton should take the lead in the Ivy League and tell the other members that Princeton will allow this year’s senior athletes to return next year to complete their final sports season — and hope that the other Ivy League schools will do the same.
