In Response to: Explaining Islam

Those most well informed about the rise of Islam may be the worst to consult about the problem of Islamic terrorism. Islam is not inherently terroristic or intolerant or violent. But at this stage of history where Muslims see themselves as behind the advanced development of Christian and ex-Christian nations they seek for answers and find them — not in the errors of Islam — but in the evils of non-Muslims and non-Muslim states. Terrorism may be historically un-Muslim but it has become the solution for frustrated Muslims and therefore Islam today is a very present danger.
