I don’t think that Jonathan Edwards would be very excited about the present conditions at the school or the “interfaith groups” of today. He was a purist both personally and theologically. He had a deep love and appreciation for all of mankind but also saw their need for Christ. Instead of thinking or presuming what he thought, just read his many writings. He was very concerned about the spread of Arminianism in the Connecticut River Valley and labored against it. Somehow people embraced the idea that if you have some sort of religion you are OK spiritually. The main theme of the Great Awakening , that he was such an integral part of, was that “you must be born again.” Christ taught this to his disciples; Edwards taught this, as many others have as well.

Jonathan Edwards is still considered one off the most brilliant theologians to ever walk the planet. God saw fit that his final resting spot would be Princeton, N.J. I think that we could honor his memory by reading his works and dedicating our lives to the one he so passionately loved and followed, Christ Jesus.
