Who Is Looking Down on Whom?

Yes, many educated and progressive people look down on what is called rural America. And this is wrong. But more wrong is the attitude of conservatives who claim that when in power, they will restore the old economic and social system that is in decay and decline. This cannot be done and those, like Trump and his sycophants, who preach a return to when America was great are the pied pipers of the day. Don't blame the occasional self-righteousness of the educated; blame the demagoguery of the conservative liars.
