Why People Worry About Immigration

Let's be honest. People don't think immigrants will take away their jobs; they know that lower-class immigrants do jobs we need and that native Americans will not do them. Skilled immigrants we probably need, since Americans don't study science and math with any devotion.

People think one thing about immigrants: where they come from, what they look like, and what are their cultural values and backgrounds. In other words: What really matter can be summed up in RACE or ETHNICITY. It is only honest to admit this. In the past, say after WWI, those wanting to limit immigration were honest about why. Wish we could be honest today.
