Why this use of the word 'populist' which has any real meaning beyond what you have pointed out. President Trump and his closest supporters are without a doubt demagogues. That may be a bigger word for those that like Trump don't read much, but describes how they achieve power. To me Trump is a nationalist demagogue, the most dangerous type of leader in any democracy.
