Compelling and Inspiring Portraits

As a childhood friend of Alicia’s, I witnessed her kindness, empathy, and compassion throughout our lifelong friendship.

I am stating this trying to say her work is both compelling and inspiring! However, it is completely unsurprising that Alicia would use (despite her modesty) such sizable talent to honor the service and bravery of her fellow soldiers. Her portraits are of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to this country; the kind of sacrifice that service men and women make without partiality to any political affiliations. It designates Alicia’s portraits as truly an honor to the sacred and final offering of the fallen.

Thank you all active duty, retired, and fallen military members. Thank you to all families of the same. Thank you Dr. Alicia Y. Christy for your commitment and for using your craft to honor the lives and “Faces of the Fallen.”
