President Eisgruber’s Richardson Auditorium addresses to alumni at the 2024 and 2025 Reunions were interrupted by student protesters, some of whom were then escorted from the venue. This year’s address included the display inside the auditorium throughout Eisgruber’s remarks of a 6-foot-by-3-foot poster. This protest, conducted by an alum, proceeded without incident.
As that protesting alum, I publicly thank the Reunions staff, Public Safety personnel, and Associate Dean Garrett Meggs of the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students for their assistance and guidance for my display at President Eisgruber’s address, at other Reunions programs, and along the P-rade route. I urge anyone contemplating protest actions to coordinate proactively with ODUS.
I invite those interested in the substance of my protest to read my May 21 and May 22 opinions at Tiger Roars.
