Robert J. Crawford ’60

Bob was born and raised in Cleveland and graduated from the University School there. His family also had homes in the Bahamas and Florida, where he honed his skin-diving and golf skills from his early years on. At Princeton, he was active in the Outing Club, served on the Tiger staff, joined Cannon Club, and majored in chemistry.
After graduate work at the University of Toronto, Bob married Ann in 1963 and began employment in chemistry at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. A steady fellow indeed, he retired from P&G, his only employer.
Like many engineer/scientists, Bob could fix anything and was keen about sports cars, especially Alfa-Romeos and radio-guided model airplanes.
Bob died Sept. 1, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann; two sons; one grandson; and an extended family, to all of whom the class offers its sympathies.
