Vic died Dec. 28, 2024, in his longtime hometown of Honesdale, Pa.

He came to Princeton from Union-Endicott High School in New York. He majored in psychology and joined Court Club, where he was vice president and head of the house committee and participated in intramural volleyball and bowling. His extracurricular activities included Glee Club, Chapel Choir, the Savoyards, Orange Key, and lightweight football manager. Senior year he roomed with Peter Clapman and Dave Weaver.

After Princeton Vic received an LL.B. from Yale Law School and settled in Honesdale, where he became a partner in the firm of Howell, Matthews, Decker & Howell. He married Kathryn, a fellow resident of Honesdale. Practicing law for 52 years in the area, he was known for the kindness with which he treated his clients. After retiring, he and his wife spent many days at their vacation home at Fairview Lake, Paupack, Pa. He also became a noted model shipbuilder.

Vic is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathryn; their daughter, Melissa; and three grandchildren.
