(Southern Illinois University Press) Founder of Fringe Benefits, an activist theater company that works with schools and communities to promote the use of theater to spark dialogue about discrimination and diversity, Bowles continues her work with this book. The book is a collection of 28 essays on methods for creating activist scripts and discussing the impact of Fringe Benefits. Bowles is an associate professor of theater and LGBT studies at Kent State University.
