The photo published here April 23 of Triangle Club’s Philip Ricks ’85 dancing en pointe prompted a response from James Neely ’48, who reminisced about Triangle ballerinas performing in tutus in the 1948-49 show, All in Favor. Neely, shown in his can-can costume from that show, posed backstage on the Broadway set of Mr. Roberts with Henry Fonda, dressed for his role and fussing with Neely’s garter belt, during “a wild day of multiple promo pictures” in New York. Other photos and video from All in Favor can be viewed on Mudd Manuscript Library’s Reel Mudd blog at https://blogs.princeton.edu/reelmudd/category/arts/.
