Right-side hitter MAGGIE O’CONNELL ’20, the Ivy League Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year, tallied a team-high 11 kills in Princeton’s 3–0 loss to Iowa State in the NCAA Tournament Dec. 1. O’Connell also led her team with 12 kills as the Tigers swept Yale in a one-match Ivy playoff Nov. 18. Princeton has been the Ivy champion or co-champion in three consecutive seasons.

Quarterback CHAD KANOFF ’18 broke the single-season Ivy record for passing yards in Princeton’s finale, a 54–44 loss at Dartmouth Nov. 18. He completed more than 73 percent of his passes (another Ivy record), and edged ahead of Doug Butler ’86 to become the Tigers’ career passing-yards leader with 7,510. Kanoff received the Asa S. Bushnell Cup as the 2017 Ivy Offensive Player of the Year, following in the footsteps of 2016 Bushnell Cup honoree John Lovett ’18. Kanoff and Lovett split time at quarterback in 2015 and 2016, before Lovett was sidelined by an injury this year.

Former women’s hockey player DINA ALLEN ’07 will be a referee at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. Allen was one of three American women chosen to officiate at the Olympics. She currently works as a referee for College Hockey America.
