Two seniors have been awarded scholarships to study at Cambridge University. Emma Yates, a chemistry major from Coconut Creek, Fla., will pursue a master’s degree in chemistry as a CHURCHILL SCHOLAR. She plans to study a protein found in the brains of patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Yates plans a career in academic research. Justine Drennan, a history major from San Mateo, Calif., was named a GATES CAMBRIDGE SCHOLAR. She will focus on ethnic relations in the Chinese province of Xinjiang as part of the Master of Philosophy in International Relations program. Drennan hopes to become an international journalist.
