Henry Moore’s Oval With Points, one of the University’s most recognizable sculptures, was installed on campus nearly 49 years ago as part of the John B. Putnam Jr. Memorial Collection. A few months after its arrival, John M. Fenton wrote in PAW that Princetonians had grown fond of sitting in its contoured opening: “[A]lready the green patina has been worn off in some spots and the bronze beneath shines through goldenly.”
