The New York Times spotlights Lileana Blain-Cruz ’06, who is directing "Red Speedo," now in previews at the New York Theatre Workshop:
Ms. Blain-Cruz is well known at the Workshop, which created a role for her as fellowship coordinator in order to keep her close. She’s hardly tied down, though: In addition to “Red Speedo,” a play by Lucas Hnath (“The Christians”) about challenges facing an Olympics-hopeful swimmer, her busy spring also includes “Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again,” by Alice Birch, running April 5 to May 1 at Soho Rep, and the New York premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’s “War,” starting May 21 at Lincoln Center’s Claire Tow Theater.
