The BodyHype Dance Company, left, was among several student groups to perform Feb. 12 in Richardson Auditorium in support of relief efforts following the Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti. The event capped a series of student-initiated activities during Haitian Awareness Week, including a semiformal dinner dance at Campus Club, a lecture, a film screening, and a panel of students and staff with Haitian ties. Fundraising organized by the Undergraduate Student Government reached nearly $8,000. “I think that the overall activist sentiment of Princeton students is still outstandingly high,” said Miriam Camara ’10, who helped plan the events and whose mother is from Haiti.
